It’s hard not to feel impatient with our recovery progress. For many people, it can take a long time to seek support for trauma symptoms, make it that much more frustrating when we don’t find immediate relief. Most of my clients do start to experience noticeable improvement after just a few, if not a couple, sessions. So we’ll spend a few weeks establishing safety, learning new skills and things will be going swimmingly. Then there’s the inevitable set back.
